      Probst’s engaging if sometimes clunky latest (after Our Italian Summer) follows three American sisters as they visit Positano, Italy, to find answers to mysteries unearthed following their mother’s death. Former ballerina Pris gave up her career for love but has grown apart from her busy lawyer husband, Garrett. Her younger sister Dev, a workaholic NYU professor, judges their youngest sister, Bailey, for hooking up with guys and never committing. After their mother, Olivia, dies, the siblings find love letters to and from “R” stashed among Olivia’s things, along with a deed to a cottage she owned in Italy. The women also discover Olivia planned to meet R again on her 65th birthday, which would have been a few months away. So they travel to Italy and stay in the cottage, hoping to find R. There, handsome neighbor Hawke catches Dev’s eye and Bailey hits on him, reviving an old feud between the sisters over an ex-boyfriend of Dev’s. Moretti’s depiction of sibling affection and tension is on point, and the plot involving Olivia’s secrets has some momentum, but the prose is often lackluster (a pair of eyes are described as “Listerine blue of the sea”). Awkward phrasing aside, this diverting story should still hold readers in its sway. Agent: Kevan Lyon, Marsal Lyon Literary.

      Narrators Therese Plummer, Ann Marie Lee, and Edoardo Ballerini combine forces to sweep the listener off to the Amalfi Coast of Italy as three sisters seek to learn of their mother, Olivia's, past. After Olivia's death, sisters Priscilla, Devon, and Bailey find a stash of love letters from the mysterious "R" in Italy. Lee narrates the portions from Olivia's point of view, providing insight into her past. Lee runs the gamut from the giddiness of young love to the raw anguish of lost love. Plummer portrays all three sisters, and her layered performance brings out the personalities of each of them, from Bailey's carefree personality to Devon's determination and to Priscilla's peacemaking tendencies.       When Olivia Moretti passes away, her estranged daughters Priscilla, Devon, and Bailey must come together to settle her estate. They find secret love letters from a mysterious "R" and a deed to a house in Positano, Italy. They agree to set aside their differences and go to Italy for a week to sort out that house. Finance professor Devon wants to sell the house and build a nest egg; Priscilla wants to use the time away to figure out her faltering marriage; Bailey is eager to dash off to romantic Italy. Narrators Th�r�se Plummer, Ann Marie Lee, and Edoardo Ballerini skillfully bring the sisters, mother, and mysterious lover Rafe to life. This story is an exploration of what it means to be a family and how to find yourself and love. While Probst does a wonderful job exploring all these themes, the narrators' performances bring this story to another level. VERDICT Not to be missed, this audiobook will prove popular for fans of Probst (The Marriage Bargain) and newcomers alike, as well as for anyone looking for a story of family togetherness.--Stephanie Charlefour
